Marriott's global Partnership Circle Award, presented to the company more than once since 2005 by J.W. Marriott, Jr., is only one of many national leadership awards – such as Hotel of the Year, General Manager of the Year, Director of Operations of the Year, and major guest satisfaction and financial performance awards – proudly held by True North, its hotel and its people.

We "got there" by staying on course – on task – on point.

Our company milestones:

1983	The roots of True North Hotel Group are planted when Lew Wiens co-founds RHW, comprised of RHW Management, Inc., and RHW Construction, Inc.
1995	Lew establishes Henry Hotels, Inc., to concentrate on hotel development opportunities.
1998	Lew enters into a joint venture with Michael Dubroff and his company, Inn Alpha Management Corporation, to form True North Hotel Group, L.L.C.
2002	A stroke necessitates Mike Dubroff's retirement; Lew teams up with Richard Merkel to reorganize the company as True North Hotel Group, Inc.
2004	True North Hotel Group wins its first Partnership Circle Award, presented by Marriott International to salute franchise companies that perform in the top ten percent in multiple categories.
2006	True North Hotel Group wins its second Marriott International Partnership Circle Award, and is named a Key Partner for the Hampton Inn and Hampton Inn & Suites brand.
2008	The company is approved as an operator/manager for the Hyatt Place brand.
2009	True North Hotel Group wins its third Marriott Partnership Circle Award and the Design and Construction Excellence Award for our Fairfield Inn & Suites Overland Park, KS.
2009	Upon opening in September 2009 our 108-suite North Conway, NH Residence Inn by Marriott became the upscale extended-stay brand's 600th hotel.
2009	Joe Andrick, General Manager of the Residence Inn KC Plaza was honored by the Greater Kansas City Hotel & Lodging Association as "2009 Hotelier of the Year".
